About Summit Maids · est. 2021 · Cleveland, Ohio
Born in Cleveland.
Raised on elbow grease.
Most about pages are a mission statement, a stock photo, and a lie about “passion for excellence.” Ours is a timeline with receipts — because the story of this company is five years of showing up, scrubbing hard, and collecting the evidence.
How it started
In 2021, in the middle of a pandemic, we decided what Cleveland really needed was a cleaning company with a personality. Everyone said the timing was terrible. The houses, however, were filthy, and somebody had to do something about it.
Family-owned from day one. No franchise manual, no corporate playbook — just a theory that if you clean like it’s your own mother’s house, tell people the price before they ask twice, and guarantee the work with actual money, Cleveland would notice.
Cleveland noticed.
The story so far
Five years,
zero beige.
Summit Maids is born.
One family, a bucket of supplies, and a grudge against boring cleaning companies. First clients booked in Cleveland; first reviews arrive suspiciously glowing. We double-check they’re real. They are.
everyone said start a business in a pandemic. nobody said cleaning. The whole company fits at one table.
Three cleaners, two remote ops teammates, one founder — the entire payroll at a single Thanksgiving brunch. The same year, Expertise.com names us among the best house cleaning services in Cleveland, and clients start requesting cleaners by name in five-star reviews.
The toy run begins.
Starting in 2022 and every December since: we shop local and deliver a haul of toys to a Cleveland-area foster home. It’s the best workday of the year and it isn’t close.
Our cleaners admit they like it here.
Certified a Most Loved Workplace® — which, in an industry famous for burning people out, we’re prouder of than almost anything on this page. Happy cleaners clean better. It’s not complicated.
The neighbors make it official.
Voted a Nextdoor Neighborhood Fave — an award you can’t buy, only earn, one recommendation thread at a time.
One office becomes three.
Westlake opens on the west side. Shaker Heights opens on the east. In a single year, the company that once fit at one brunch table covers the whole metro — and these days we wouldn’t have a prayer of fitting at that table. The same year, Cleveland’s “Cleaner of the Year” award lands on our shelf, earned on public reviews, which is the only way we’d want it. Google rating: 4.8 stars and climbing.
Your house.
That’s the whole roadmap, really. More east side, more west side, more spotless kitchens — and if you’re reading this page, probably yours.
this is where you come in.
The crew
We hire people who give a damn.
Our cleaners are insured and — this is the unusual part — treated like the professionals they are. They get named in reviews. They get requested by clients. They get tips that are actually theirs and weekends that actually exist.
The standard was set by a founder who did the jobs himself for years. He’s since been promoted to staying out of the way — the crew holds the bar now, and they hold it higher.
We’re certified a Most Loved Workplace® and we’re usually hiring. If you clean like you mean it, we should talk.
